VIOLENCE

Belzer Rebbe Shlita Speaks Out Against Increasing Chareidi Violence

Speaking at Chanukah candle lighting, the Belzer Rebbe Shlita released a statement against the escalating violence from within the chareidi tzibur. The rebbe stated “If there are those among us who believe they will spread the light of Yiddishkheit through violence, they are mistaken”.
Taking part in the hadlokas neiros was Minister of Education Gideon Saar, who added that Avraham Avinu also worked to bring people closer to Hashem, but did so through gently trying to attract others, not seeking to achieve his goal with violence, which the minister added “hasn’t a chance of succeeding”.

GABY LOCK SAYS:
I LIKE WHAT THE BELZER  REBBE SAYS, I HOPE OTHERS WILL FOLLOW.

THE BELZER REBBE DOES NOT TELL A NOT-FRUM JEW THAT HE HAS A  RIGHT TO BE NOT FRUM.
BUT WHEN A NOT-FRUM JEW THINKS HE IS LIKE A FRUM JEW
WE HAVE TO TELL HIM HOW TO LIVE AS A JEW.
YOU WILL FIND MISTAKES AND AVEROUS BY FRUM JEWS IN EVERY ASPECT OF LIFE
BUT YOUR DUTY AS A JEW IS TO KEEP THE TORAH.
THROUGH THE TORAH AT MOUNT SINI WE BECAME JEWS.
THEN AFTER FORTY YEARS WE WENT INTO ISRAEL.
THE RABBI WHO GAVE US THE TORAH FROM G=D NEVER EVEN WENT INTO ISRAEL.
WE NEED TO TELL THEM THE TRUTH NOT WITH FORE OR VIOLENCE ! ! !

QUESTIONS

VIDEO: How To Help Our Children Go From OK To Great [Mordechai Weinberger LCSW]
(Monday, December 26th, 2011)
Mordechai Weinberger LCSW, along with Dr. Efrayim Nudman, M.D. Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Cornell Medical College, Former Chief of Inpatient Psychiatric service at New York Presbyterian Hospital addressed these questions that were emailed to him:
1: All my life in Yeshiva I watched friends of mine just as smart as me make it and I somehow never made it. Now that I am working, I am finding the same story happening again. I am working just as hard as my co worker and yet he gets the raise and I don’t. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong?
2: I want to get close to a certain group of friends. The problem is that I don’t like the same things they do. Is there anyway I can still get into this group?
3: I have a simple question to ask but I have no one to turn to, so I am asking you and hopefully you can help me. I come from a very messed up background. I can’t turn to my parents for help; I have to parent them. I am newly married and my cooking is terrible. After a few months of marriage my husband opened up to me and asked me to call his mother for recipes. I feel so embarrassed that I can’t do it. I am pretty sure I will never be a good cook because it’s not in my genes. I am watching this little problem grow into a huge fight every time he asks me to make something new. Is there any way I can have my husband accept my limitations and to learn to focus on my positive strengths?

GABY LOCK SAYS:
READING THIS ARTICLE ABOVE IN YESHIVA WORLD:
I AM STARTING TO UNDERSTAND  THAT THESE PEOPLE
HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE DUTY OF A JEWISH PERSON IS
AND WHY G=D MADE THIS WORLD.
IN THIS WORLD YOU HAVE MADE IT WHEN YOU KEEP THE TORAH
WITH THE QUALITIES G=D GAVE YOU.

IF YOUR FRIEND HAS A RAISE, AND YOU DO NOT,
THAT'S THE WAY G=D WANTS IT TO BE.
YOU HAVE MADE IT WITHOUT THE RAISE. YOU ARE NO MORE OR LESS,
THIS WORLD IS A TEST GROUND THAT'S WHAT YIDDISHKEIT IS ABOUT.
THE WOMAN WHO CAN COOK IS NO MORE OR LESS THEN YOU.
OVERCOMING THE TESTS IN LIFE WITH THE QUALITIES YOU HAVE
THAT'S WHAT JEWISH  LIFE IS ABOUT.
G=D WILL JUDGE IF YOU HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL OR NOT.

CHANUKAH

How Do You Spell Hanukkah?

TIME Magazine has the following article on their website:
It began last night at sunset: Hanukkah. Or is it Chanukah? Or Hannukah? Sometimes getting the proper spelling of a Hebrew word transliterated into English gets tricky, especially when far more than a trio of options prove technically correct. But if you don’t fall into the Hebrew-scholar category, what should you do?

GABY LOCK SAYS:
THE CORRECT SPELLING IS NOT THE POINT OF THE HOLIDAY
OR LIKE SOME JEWISH PEOPLE THINK WE DO NOT LOSE OUT.
THE NONE-JEWS HAVE CHRISTMAS AND WE HAVE CHANUKAH.
SOME STUPID JEWS EVEN  HAVE A CHANUKAH BUSH...........
THE FIRST THING A JEWISH PERSON HAS TO KNOW ABOUT
JEWISH LIFE IS, IF THEY GO RIGHT, WE GO LEFT.
A JEWISH PERSON HAS NOTHING WITH CHRISTMAS
EXCEPT THAT THE LITTLE KING WAS A JEWISH BOY.
                  CHANUKAH STARTED NEARLY 200 YEARS
BEFORE MARY DECIDED TO HAVE A SON.
WE HAVE TO KEEP OUR RELIGION
                   AND LET THEM KEEP THEIRS.

KIDDUSH HASHEM

Amidst all the controversy pertaining to mehadrin bus lines at the moment in Israel, sparked in part by a woman who instigated the issue when she intentionally boarded a mehadrin bus in Ashod, YWN Isreal is pleased to present the following Kiddush Hashem that was sent to us today with a video attached:
“I was riding from Ramot to Yerushalayim proper at the front of mehadrin bus number 40 when the bus stopped by the new Ramot Mall. Due to the time of day, the bus was pretty full, so when a non-charedi woman boarded the bus she stood near the driver. I flinched, half expecting someone to tell her to go to the back of the bus. Yet, Baruch Hashem, two gentlemen, as she called them (and yes, one can have a beard and long payos and still be a gentleman), gave up their seats on the front row of the bus. Many on the bus, driver included, were shocked at the kiddush Hashem, which prompted me to video her and ask her to tell the story in her own words.
Let’s see Haaretz, Ynet, or some other anti-charedi news outlet report this story”

AND LETS SPREAD A BIT OF LOVE
FROM ONE JEW TO ANOTHER.
BUT HATING EACH OTHER  ONLY BRINGS
TROUBLES TO THE JEWISH PEOPLE.

REV CHAIM STEIN ZATZAL

As the word spread, people from all over began streaming to his door. Cholim with serious illnesses from around the world, who were being treated at the nearby Cleveland Clinic, would make it a point to travel to Wickliffe for a brocha from Rav Chaim. A Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok chossid from Yerushalayim once came to Rav Chaim with his child, who was suffering from a serious heart defect. As they sat around the Rosh Yeshiva’s table, the rebbetzin brought out some drinks and refreshments, while the Rosh Yeshiva offered his heartfelt brachos and divrei chizuk. Rav Chaim took a sip from his glass. The chossid politely requested that the Rosh Yeshiva allow him and his son to partake from the shirayim left over in Rav Chaim’s glass. With a broad smile, Rav Chaim graciously acquiesced. He knew how much this meant to this poor, suffering father.
Rav Chaim would say that the unprecedented kibbutz galuyos that exists in America today is an overly positive phenomenon. He would note how all of the unique groups in Klal Yisroel ultimately enhance each other by contributing their individual qualities. He said that until he came to America, he never experienced the uplifting nature of eating Shalosh Se’udos as a group. “The concept of eating together with dibbuk chaverim is something we’ve acquired from the chassidim,” he would say.
Rav Chaim had a keen understanding of how to reach the heart of all types of yidden, regardless of their background. He was fond of relating an innovative teitch from the saintly Belzer Rav zt”l, on the words of the possuk, “S’mach Zevulun betzeisecha v’yissochor be’ohalecha.” When can Zevulun rejoice in his financial success; when he himself is a Yissochor in his own tent.
When people would ask for segulos, he would say that the only protection in the world is Torah and chesed. “We are currently in the era of ikvesa dimeshicha,” he would say. The gemara says; what should a person do to protect themselves from the suffering of Chevlei Moshiach. Ya’asok BeTorah ugemilus chasodim. The only way to protect our families and our children from the pervasive influences of the street is through learning Torah and performing chesed. The only defense against the unbearable tragedies of our time is to acquire these powerful zechusim.

GABY LOCK SAYS:
THIS IS WHAT IS MISSING  BY US YIDDEN TO DAY.
THE FRUM PERSON WANTS TO FORCE THE NOT-FRUM PERSON
AND THE NOT-FRUM PERSON WANTS TO FORCE THE FRUM PERSON.
AS A FRUM PERSON I WANT MY WAY.
BUT I HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE NOT-FRUM PERSON WANTS HIS WAY.
THE FIRST MOVE IS TO UNDERSTANDING THAT WE ARE ONE NATION
AND  LEARN A BIT OF LOVING EACH OTHER.
IT SHOULD NOT BE LIKE THE PAST WHEN THE GOYIM HATED US
THE FRUM PEOPLE SHOULD UNDERSTAND THE NOT-FRUM PEOPLE
AS THEY  HAVE NEVER LEARNED TORAH.
THE NOT-FRUM  PEOPLE SHOULD UNDERSTAND THE FRUM PEOPLE,
THAT WE ARE JEWS AND WE HAVE  TO KEEP THE TORAH.
AT  LEAST LEARN TORAH AND FIND OUT WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT.

NETUREI KARTA

In the letter to Police Chief Yohanan Danino, members of Neturei Karta asked the police to assist them in stopping buses from entering their neighborhood, according to Channel 2. The letter is significant because Neturei Karta does not recognize the State of Israel or any authorities.
In the letter, they claimed that buses create smoke and air pollution, and pose a danger to their children on the narrow streets of the neighborhood. Last week, during a demonstration against the buses, a man overturned his stroller with his toddler still inside in order to protest the danger for the neighborhood kids.

GABY LOCK SAYS:
THE BEIS YISROEL SAID ON THE NETUREI KARTA
I AM THE NETUREI KARTA,
THEY ARE THE MACRIVEY KARTA.
THE SECOND REASON IS TRUE POLLUTION AND DANGER TO THE CHILDREN
ON THE NARROW STREETS OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
ALL TRAFFIC SHOULD BE BANNED.
THE MAN WHO OVERTURNED THE STROLLER
SHOULD HAVE HIS CHILDREN TAKEN AWAY FROM HIM ! !

IS THIS OIL GOOD FOR CHANUKCAH

Olive Pomace Oil is the oil that is extracted from the olive pulp after the first press. Once the mechanical oil extraction of olive oil is complete approximately 5-8% of the oil remains in the pulp, which then needs to be extracted with the help of solvents, an industrial technique used in the production of most other edible oils including Canola, Groundnut,Sunflower, etc. Although the oil extracted in this manner is still olive oil, at retail it may not be simply called “Olive Oil”. This is because the International Olive Oil Council defines Olive Oil as “the oil obtained solely from the fruit of the olive tree, to the exclusion of oils obtained using solvents or re-esterification processes” [1]
Chemically, Olive Pomace Oil is quite similar to olive oil with respect to acid composition, rendering it the same health benefits when cooked.

GABY LOCK SAYS
THIS OIL WAS SUFFICIENT FOR ONLY ONE DAY,
BUT WHEN THEY LIT THE MENORAH WITH IT
IT LASTED FOR EIGHT DAYS,
UNTIL THEY POUNDED OLIVES AND EXTRACTED PURE OIL.

Yerushalayim: Bus Segregation War Continues
(Sunday, December 18th, 2011)

A woman passenger on a public bus from Ashdod to Jerusalem Friday was told by an ultra-Orthodox male passenger to move to the back of the bus. The man held the door of the bus open and would not allow it to move for approximately 30 minutes.
When other passengers began to complain about the delay, the driver called the police. The policeman who arrived on the scene spoke with the man and then also asked the woman, Tanya Rosenblit, to move to the back of the bus. When she refused, the man who had been holding the door alighted and the bus continued on its way.

GABY LOCK SAYS:
WHY DO YOU NOT GIVE THE NAME OF THE MAN ?
A REALLY ULTRA-ORTHODOX MAN WOULD NOT EVEN HAVE SEEN THE WOMAN ! !
THE LEV SHIMCH TOLD ME BEFORE MY WEDDING ,THAT A JEWISH WOMEN IS THE FOUNDATION OF A  JEWISH HOUSEHOLD.
AN ORTHODOX WOMAN ,IS NOT IF SHE SITS IN THE BACK OF THE BUS.
BUT HOW SHE BEHAVES AT HOME TO HER HUSBAND AND CHILDREN.
THIS KIND OF TZNIOUS COMES FROM THE GOYIM.
I HOPE THOUSENDS OF WOMEN WILL TAKE AN EXAMPLE FROM TANYA ROSENBLIT.
