Egged Driver Returns Sizable Sum to Avreich
(Thursday, June 21st, 2012)
An Egged driver conducting a routine search for suspicious packages on his bus at the end of his line discovered a bag which contained 39,000 NIS in cash. The money was found on a 940 bus that traveled from Yerushalayim to Haifa. After passengers got off, the driver carried out a security inspection of the vehicle as required.


It appears the money belongs to an avreich. The funds were raised for hachnasas kallah and a pair of tefillin. Baruch  Hashem, the driver turned it in and the avreich, a resident of Tirat HaCarmel was located and the money returne

Amidst all the controversy pertaining to mehadrin bus lines at the moment in Israel, sparked in part by a woman who instigated the issue when she intentionally boarded a mehadrin bus in Ashod, YWN Isreal is pleased to present the following Kiddush Hashem that was sent to us today with a video attached:
“I was riding from Ramot to Yerushalayim proper at the front of mehadrin bus number 40 when the bus stopped by the new Ramot Mall. Due to the time of day, the bus was pretty full, so when a non-charedi woman boarded the bus she stood near the driver. I flinched, half expecting someone to tell her to go to the back of the bus. Yet, Baruch Hashem, two gentlemen, as she called them (and yes, one can have a beard and long payos and still be a gentleman), gave up their seats on the front row of the bus. Many on the bus, driver included, were shocked at the kiddush Hashem, which prompted me to video her and ask her to tell the story in her own words.
Let’s see Haaretz, Ynet, or some other anti-charedi news outlet report this story”

ABOUT FIFTEEN YEARS AGO, I WAS FLYING FROM LONDON HEATHROW AIR PORT, BY BRITISH AIRWAYS TO TEL-AVIV.
WE FLEW ON A JUMBO-JET WHICH HAD TEN SEATS IN A ROW,
THREE THEN FOUR AND THREE AGAIN.

BEHIND ME IN THE ROW OF FOUR THERE WERE TWO COUPLES FROM HAIFA ISRAEL.
THEY HAD A BOOK SHOP IN HADAR, HAR CARMEL IN HAIFA .
THEIR FAMILY NAMES WERE "DERBAMDIGER",
A VERY FAMOUS NAME BY JEWISH PEOPLE "DERBAMDIGER" THE HOLY BERDICHOVER REBBE'S NAME.

WHEN THEY WERE DISTRIBUTING THE MEALS, THEY HAD 102 KEDASIA MEALS.

AND THEN THEY GAVE KOSHER MEALS FROM THE EL-AL KITCHEN IN HEATROW AIR PORT, WHICH WAS UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE FEDERATION.
AND THEN THEY GAVE OUT BRITISH AIRWAYS MEALS WHICH WERE NOT KOSHER.
YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THIS PLANE HAD OVER FOUR HUNDRED PASSENGERS. NOT ALL WERE JEWISH.

I WAS SITING IN THE ROW OF FOUR AND BEHIND IN THE ROW OF FOUR WERE SITTING THE TWO COUPLES DERBARMDIGER.
THEY OF COURSE DID NOT TAKE THE KEDASIA MEAL.
AND THEY ALSO DID NOT WANT THE FEDERATION MEALS.
THEY ASKED FOR THE BRITISH AIRWAYS MEALS WHICH CONTAINED HAM ( PIG ) ! ! !

AS SOON AS I OBSERVED THAT, I TURNED AROUND TO THEM AND TOLD THEM, " I WILL NOT LET YOU EAT PIG."

A CHASSIDISHE MAN SITTING NEXT TO ME SAID," DON'T MAKE A CHILLUL HASHEM".
I SAID TO HIM TO LET THEM EAT PIG WAS A CHILLUL HASHEM, TO STOP THEM,
IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW, WAS A KIDDUSH HASHEM.

I ALSO SAID TO HIM;

WE THINK WE HAVE TO BE LIKED BY EVERYONE IS A KIDDUSH HASHEM?
MAKING A TOLLERANT AND UNDERSTANDING IMPRESSION AND LETTING THEM EAT PIG ( they have a right to their way in life)
IS A DOWN RIGHT CHILLUL HASHEM.

THE DERBARMDIGER COUPLE SAID TO ME IN YIDDISH; " WHAT CAN YOU DO" ? I SAID TO THEM " YOU WILL SEE WHAT I CAN DO".

I GOT UP ON MY SEAT AND STARTED SHOUTING; "PIG THESE JEWISH PEOPLE ARE ABOUT TO EAT PIG".
I EXPLAINED TO THE NON-SPEAKING HEBREW IN ENGLISH, AND THEN TO THE HEBREW SPEAKING PEOPLE IN HEBREW; "THERE IS KOSHER AVAILABLE THEY DO NOT HAVE TO EAT TREIF (PIG)".
YOU CAN NOT IMAGINE HOW THE NON ORTHODOX PEOPLE RAN UP TO THEM, HE IS RIGHT THERE IS KOSHER AVAILABLE, EAT KOSHER!

ONE OF THE COUPLES SHOUTED AT ME. "GO INTO THE ARMY" !
I SAID TO HIM; " YOU HAVE CHILDREN IN THE ARMY, THEY WILL DIE AND YOU WILL SHOUT AT G=D WHY DID THEY DIE, YOU KNOW WHY, BECAUSE YOU EAT PIG AND YOU DO NOT RESPECT G=D'S TORAH, WHY SHOULD G=D RESPECT YOU?
THIS IS CLEARLY WRITTEN IN THE TORAH.
AS SOON AS I SAID THIS THEY REFRAINED FROM EATING THE HAM.

WE HAVE TO LEARN WHAT IS A CHILLUL HASHEM AND WHAT IS A KIDDUSH HASHEM.
