Egged Number 1 Bus Attacked In Meah Shearim
According to a Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) report, an Egged Number 1 bus making its way to the Kosel came under attack on Wednesday night as it made its way through Meah Shearim. The bus was bombarded with rocks and at least two tires were punctured by sharp objects placed in the road.
The hoodlums responsible for the attack fled the scene. Baruch Hashem, there were no injuries. Police are investigating.

Is Jerusalem Police Chief Shacham Taking Revenge Against The Eida?(Monday, January 16th, 2012)
The word on the street in Meah Shearim is that the arrest of some of the prominent members of the Eida establishment is simply a revenge move by Jerusalem Police Chief Niso Shacham, who wishes to get back at Gavaad HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss Shlita.
Interestingly, Rav Weiss commented shortly after the arrest that his gabbai, Amram Shapira “is clean. He is pure. Why did they arrest him? They want me and if this is the case, let them come and arrest me”.
During the remand hearing Justice Dov Pollack questioned police and why Shapira was arrested since there was no evidence against him tying him to the alleged money laundering operation or the violence attributed to the sikrikim sect.
The Eida tzibur simply feels that this is a retaliatory move by the police commander after he suffered anembarrassment when the Gavaad refused to meet with him in December of last year. Rav Weiss met with lower-ranking officers, but he refused to give Shacham the photo op since he holds the commander responsible for much of the hostility against the chareidi tzibur in Yerushalayim of late.
Police Chief Yochanan Danino dismissed the validity of this theory explaining “We are not against chareidim, but we are against chareidi criminals”.

Growing Momentum Seeking Resignation of Beit Shemesh Mayor(Tuesday, December 27th, 2011)
The number of participants in the Beit Shemesh rally in support of women’s rights and condemning chareidi extremists was significantly less than the thousands organizers hoped would attend.
The event was held under the banner “to expel the darkness” and among the speakers were a number of women who were victimized by extremist elements who identify with the chareidi community.
Perhaps the height of the evening came with a song performed by Tanya Rosenblit, who was recently labeled the “Rose Parks of Israel” after refusing to move to the rear of a mehadrin bus. Rosenblit is not Shomer Shabbos, and she is a journalist, a fact that was not reported by many news agencies following the incident. Also addressing the forum were opposition leader MK Tzipi Livni and Labor party leader MK Shelly Yacimovich.
In a related matter, senior police officials met today, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 with Gavaad Eida Chareidis, HaGaon HaRav Weiss Shlita, who expressed his opposition to anyone using physical force against another towards achieving one’s goals.

Speaking to Kol Chai Radio on Tuesday night, MK Rabbi Yisrael Eichler decried the increasing wave of anti-chareidi media reports, blaming the left-wing controlled media for keeping the hate campaign on the front page of the national agenda.
The veteran journalist and MK made no apologies, but lashed out at those who continue to point an accusing finger at the nation’s chareidi tzibur when they are well-aware the recent hooliganism is the result of the actions of a few, a small minority, people who identify themselves with the chareidi community but in no way are they representative of a chareidi lifestyle or values.
Rav Eichler spoke of the remarks made by his rebbe, the Belzer Rebbe Shlita, who condemned the acts of violence, stating that this is not the way we spread the light of Torah.

HaRav Nosson HaCohen Kupshitz Shlita, rav of the Nachla Menucha neighborhood of Ramat Beit Shemesh did not agree to meet with Beit Shemesh Police Chief Kobi Cohen as tensions continue mounting in the divided community.
The bus was traveling in a frum area of the capital, Ramat Eshkol, and it is customary for men to take a seat in the front and women in the rear, an unwritten custom among riders. According to state law, backed by recent Supreme Court rulings, this cannot be compelled upon those unwilling to cooperate and there are signs on buses stating just this; that one cannot compel anyone to move to another area of the bus.

Belzer Rebbe Shlita Speaks Out Against Increasing Chareidi Violence
Speaking at Chanukah candle lighting, the Belzer Rebbe Shlita released a statement against the escalating violence from within the chareidi tzibur. The rebbe stated “If there are those among us who believe they will spread the light of Yiddishkheit through violence, they are mistaken”.
Taking part in the hadlokas neiros was Minister of Education Gideon Saar, who added that Avraham Avinu also worked to bring people closer to Hashem, but did so through gently trying to attract others, not seeking to achieve his goal with violence, which the minister added “hasn’t a chance of succeeding”.

REV CHAIM STEIN ZATZAL
As the word spread, people from all over began streaming to his door. Cholim with serious illnesses from around the world, who were being treated at the nearby Cleveland Clinic, would make it a point to travel to Wickliffe for a brocha from Rav Chaim. A Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok chossid from Yerushalayim once came to Rav Chaim with his child, who was suffering from a serious heart defect. As they sat around the Rosh Yeshiva’s table, the rebbetzin brought out some drinks and refreshments, while the Rosh Yeshiva offered his heartfelt brachos and divrei chizuk. Rav Chaim took a sip from his glass. The chossid politely requested that the Rosh Yeshiva allow him and his son to partake from the shirayim left over in Rav Chaim’s glass. With a broad smile, Rav Chaim graciously acquiesced. He knew how much this meant to this poor, suffering father.
Rav Chaim would say that the unprecedented kibbutz galuyos that exists in America today is an overly positive phenomenon. He would note how all of the unique groups in Klal Yisroel ultimately enhance each other by contributing their individual qualities. He said that until he came to America, he never experienced the uplifting nature of eating Shalosh Se’udos as a group. “The concept of eating together with dibbuk chaverim is something we’ve acquired from the chassidim,” he would say.
Rav Chaim had a keen understanding of how to reach the heart of all types of yidden, regardless of their background. He was fond of relating an innovative teitch from the saintly Belzer Rav zt”l, on the words of the possuk, “S’mach Zevulun betzeisecha v’yissochor be’ohalecha.” When can Zevulun rejoice in his financial success; when he himself is a Yissochor in his own tent.
When people would ask for segulos, he would say that the only protection in the world is Torah and chesed. “We are currently in the era of ikvesa dimeshicha,” he would say. The gemara says; what should a person do to protect themselves from the suffering of Chevlei Moshiach. Ya’asok BeTorah ugemilus chasodim. The only way to protect our families and our children from the pervasive influences of the street is through learning Torah and performing chesed. The only defense against the unbearable tragedies of our time is to acquire these powerful zechusim.

WHAT IS OUR AIM IN LIFE
AS AN ORTHODOX FRUM JEW, MY AIMS IN LIFE ARE

AND I THINK ABOUT G=D, A LOT IN LIFE.

AFTER ADAM EATING FROM THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT,
GOOD AND BAD ARE MIXED UP IN A PERSON,
THERE CAN BE A PERSON WHO PRAYS VERY WELL BUT IS NOT TRUTHFUL IN MONEY MATTERS, EVEN RABBONIM AND RABBIS.
BUT THIS DOES NOT MAKE HIM NOT A RABBI OR ROV.
THIS IS A PROBLEM IN TO-DAY'S FRUM WORLD.

SOCIAL LIFE
I THINK IT IS STUPID, WHAT JOEL LEVER SAID IN THE ITV DOCUMENTARY STRICTLY KOSHER.
THAT THE FRUM PEOPLE HAVE CHILDREN , BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO OTHER SOCIAL ACTIVITY.BUT IT IS TRUE THAT THE ORTHODOX SOCIAL LIFE ,IS TAKEN UP BY CHARITY EVENINGS AND PARTIES.
PEOPLE GIVE MONEY THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE, OUT OF PEAR PRESSURE.
THERE IS A SAYING BY THE JEWISH PEOPLE,
WHICH IN TO-DAYS WORLD APPLIES TO NON-JEWS AS WELL.
WHEN WE NEED TO RAISE FUNDS, THE VERY RICH CALL ON THE SEMI RICH, TO RAISE FUNDS BY THE POOR.
THE GOVERNMENT HAS FUNDS FOR WARS, ETC,ETC, BUT FOR THE MILLIONS IN AFRICA THEY NEED TO RAISE FUNDS BY THE POOR.
IF WE DO NOT ANALISE THE MISTAKES IN OUR LIFE,
