TEHILLIM – Yeshiva Bochur Falls Nearly 100 Feet At Nachal Sma’ar In Midbar Yehuda
A young Chareidi man is critical after a serious fall while hiking in Midbar Yehuda.
According to initial information available, the 20-year-old victim, a Yeshiva Bochur, was at “Nachal Smar” (נחל סמאר), near Mitzpeh Shalom with his friends hiking when the incident occured. Police say the victim fell around 30 meters (approximately 100 feet).
Emergency crews – including the IDF 669 Air Unit – found him in critical condition.
ZAKA had initially informed every news agency – including YWN – that the victim had been Niftar. In fact, nearly every news agency in Israel had reported the death.
Now, rescue personnel have managed to extricate his body after nearly 4 hours, and are airlifting him to a hospital.
