BAIN HAZMANIM TRAGEDY: Yeshiva Bochur R”L Killed After Falling Nearly 100 Feet At Nachal Sma’ar In Midbar Yehuda
A Yeshiva Bochur on a Bain Hazmanim outing was R”L killed in a tragic incident in Eretz Yisroel, Monday evening.
Yerachmiel Yeshayahu Brecher Z”L, 20, a resident of Ramot, was with a group of friends at “Nachal Smar” (נחל סמאר), near Mitzpeh Shalom when the incident occurred. According to an initial investigation, the group was rappelling when a rope may have ripped, plunging him around 30 meters (approximately 100 feet). Three others suffered minor injuries.
It took nearly 6 hours to extricate his body from the bottom of a cliff, and bring the group tp to safety.
He was an Alexander Chosid, and recently learned in Mir Yerushalayim.
His parents are is Reb Dovid & Mrs Chanah Brecher (Vishnitzer Chassidim).
The Levaya will be held tonight just after midnight.
