I agree, but the problem is the government, not the teachers. Thirty years ago if a child was behaving badly the teachers would contact the parents and the parents would punish the child.
Nowadays the teachers can't say anything as the parents come up to the school to assault the teachers. There is a channel 4 programme showing this problem.
The solution would be to not allow every person to have children until they pass a test to show that they are fit to raise them, but then the government tells us that this is against human rights.
