Walk down Tottenham Court Road any Friday evening, and it's shoplifting galore in Marks and Spencers, Sainsbury's, any of the great shops. Layabouts sailing in and blatantly thieving. Waitrose in Marylebone too. Lowlives thieving WITH MENACE. I've seen this with my own eyes at least ten times, twice with violence, and they all did it flagrantly. I'm not so old, but believe you me, we need to bring back what they called birching. Toe-rags need a good sharp short shock. Shoplifting by layabouts my foot.
