DRAMA CONTINUES: Court Hearing On Sunday Regarding Steinmetz And MBD Concert In Haifa
Haifa District Court Judge, Ron Shapira, who accepted the petition of the women’s lobby against the performance of Motty Steinmetz and Mordechai Ben David that is supposed to take place in Haifa next week, ruled that a special hearing will be held about the issue of segregated seating at the concert. The hearing is scheduled for Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
The women’s lobby petitioned the court for an injunction against the concert after it was determined that the concert would be for men only. As is widely known, the Chareidi community does not often attend concerts with mixed seating and these particular performers, Steinmetz more than MBD, refuse to perform in front of a mixed crowd.
Shapira responded to the petition that was made against the city and asked the lobby group why the singers were not listed as interested parties in the petition, seeing as how any outcome will likely cause them financial loss. In addition, the Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has stated publicly that he will look into the legalities of having separate seating at concerts in general, and therefore should also have been included as those from whom a response to the petition is requested from.
The courts across Israel go on summer vacation starting on Sunday afternoon. Thus, the court has two working days left to give a decision regarding the petition.
The city of Haifa responded to the women’s lobby group on Tuesday and said that they have no intention of changing any of the plans regarding the concert. “One cannot argue that the Chareidi community, like all the other residents of the city of Haifa, is entitled to receiving cultural services from the city. These services must respect the beliefs and lifestyle of the community as well as provide them with what they need just like they do for anybody else. The city has every right to split up the budget for cultural events and services equally to all residents of the city while simultaneously providing those services in a style that best befits the beliefs of these various communities. This holds true for all of the residents of the city, and especially for the religious elements.”

WHEN I WENT ON MY FAMOUS CRUISE WITH MY DEAR WIFE TIKWAH A.H.
" TWO JEWS ON A CRUISE "
ONE OF BIGGEST ARGUMENTS WITH THE NOT RELIGIOUS JEWS WAS, THEY KEPT ON SAYING WE ARE ALL THE SAME RELIGIOUS AND NOT RELIGIOUS.
I KEPT ON TELLING THEM WE ARE NOT ONE , THAT IS YOUR MISTAKE, WE ARE BOTH JEWS, BUT I AM A RELIGIOUS JEW AND YOU ARE NOT, AND THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE EVEN BY G-D.
YOU CAN SEE A BIT OF THIS IN THE FILM, MY DEAR WIFE A.H. KEPT ON TELLING THEM, THAT SHE WENT TO A GOYISH SCHOOL IN ROTTERDAM HOLLAND'
AND SHE ALWAYS TOLD THE GOYIM I AM A JEW AND YOU ARE NOT.WE ARE AND WILL ALWAYS BE DIFFERENT
SHE WITH HER EMUNA ( BELIEV IN G-D ) IN HASHEM WAS A PRESENT TO THEM ( MY PARENTS IN LAW ) AFTER THE HOLOCAUST.
Towards the end of the deliberation in court Judge Elyakim said: “While each segment of the population does have the right to receive public funding for events for their community, I cannot be a part of allowing public funds to support an event that would injure or harm women. Should the Chareidim want to hold a concert that causes harm to another, then they should pay for it themselves.”
THERE IS SAYING THE ONE WHO PAYS CALLS THE TUNE
THE JUDGE AND THE GOVERNMENT ARE RIGHT
THERE IS SOMETHING THE FRUM JEWS DO NOT UNDERSTAND, THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT BELIEVES AND VOTES THAT WOMEN IN ISRAEL HAVE EQUAL RIGHTS AND THAT THE WAY THE FRUMERS PRACTICE SEGREGATION IS NOT RIGHT.
IN ISRAEL A COUNTRY OF EQUAL RIGHTS THE WOMEN ARE RIGHT
IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE THESE THINGS THE YOU HAVE TO VOTE BUY THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION AND NOT BE A SAT-MARE AND STAY AT HOME
THIS IS WHAT THE GERER REBBE AND REST OF THE GEDOLIM ARE SAYING.
IF WE WANT CHANGE WE CAN ONLY DO IT IN THE ISRAELI PARLIAMENT, STAY AT HOME DO NOTING AND THEY WIN
AND THIS M.B.D CONCERT IS ONLY THE START
