JEWS AND THE POLICE

Rishon L’Tzion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlita calls on people to report irresponsible drivers to avoid catastrophe, as was the case in last week’s Egged 402 bus crash that claimed six lives and left over twenty people injured. During his weekly motzei Shabbos shiur, the rav stated if one sees a driver acting erratically he should write down the vehicle license number and phone police to report the driver. He stressed one is permitted to report such a driver to authorities. He added that one who reports a driver who violates vehicular law is not consider a moiser. - See more at: http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/headlines-breaking-stories/388877/hagaon-harav-yitzchak-yosef-one-should-report-dangerous-drivers-to-police-no-mesira-involved.html#sthash.WvB12bnd.dpuf

HE IS HUNDRED % RIGHT LOTS OF FRUM JEWS WHO ARE UM HRATZIM THINK THAT EVERYTHING THAT YOU REPORTED TO THE AUTHORITIES YOU ARE A MOISER OR LOSHON HORAH.

YOU CAN NOT USE THE TORAH TO ENDANGER OTHER PEOPLE LIVES, LIKE TO USE A MOBILE WHEN DRIVING, AND IF I REPORT IT TO THE AUTHORITIES I AM A MOISER.

THE SAME WAY IF A NEIGHBOURS CHILDREN ARE CAUSING DAMAGE OR THE DRIVER OF A MINI BUS DROPS THE CHILDREN AND DRIVES ON I HAVE A DUTY TO CALL THE POLICE.
