You are absolutely right.
As a young boy I stayed in Herndon for a Shabbos and went to daven at Robert's shaul.
What immediately stood out was his extreme arrogance, snobbery and smug manner. I was only ten years old at the time, but I picked up on his horrible of putting personality.
What I have never understood is how his kehillah have managed to put up with him!? He does not seem the type who can control his inherent haughtiness even when needed to "lick up" to his gevirim!.
Anyway, I have B"h, thankfully very little need to deal with him over the years. There was one occasion, I repeat one! That was very sensitive and urgent alike. My brother and I, both living abroad flew in especially to England to deal with this heartbreaking and delicate issue.
Behold true to form.. Roberts ( I can't bring myself to give him the title of Rav! he's not a human being, less so a man of G-d!) Roberts was rude, dismissive, arrogant, prude, and an ****** jirk!
