YOUNGSTERS

I WAS WALKING IN LEICESTER ROAD IN MANCHESTER AND  SAW TWO YOUNG    MOTHERS TALKING WITH EACH OTHER
NEXT TO THEM WAS A SMALL CHILD SITING ON THE PAVEMENT GATHERING LITTLE STONES MAKING A PILE
AS IF COOKING AND EATING THE STONES
I SAID TO THEM.
IF YOU CAN NOT LOOK AFTER YOUR CHILDREN
PLEASE DO NOT HAVE THEM
BRINGING CHILDREN ON THIS WORLD  JUST TO
COPY OUR FRIENDS IS THAT WHAT YIDDISHKEIT IS ALL ABOUT.
I MAY NOT AND THE RABBONIM HAVE SAID I MUST NOT KEEP QUIET.

Fitting in with the crowd is sadly such a huge aspect of Judaism in the way it's practiced these days. Young couples are told they need ro have kids. Perue V'ravu, but the mitzvah is annulled if the parent doesn't carry it through and care properly for the child. Don't get me startrd. There are so many problems in the many different communities that make up Klal Yisroel. Most of all the problems lies with the need to look a certain waywithin the communityt. Dress acertain way because everyone else is. Let's faceit, did Moshe Rabanu dres as a Hassid? Of course not. The garb is all about belonging to a fommunity. However the. Community does not trump Hashem.
