Tragedy in Beit Chaggai – Infant Left in a Vehicle

An 18-month-old who was forgotten in a vehicle in Yishuv Beit Chaggai was niftar on Sunday, 4 Iyar 5774 R”L. The child was forgotten in a vehicle in the S. Hebron Hills community for a number of hours.

According to an Ichud Hatzalah report, once again a child was left in a vehicle, this time in Hashmonaim. EMT Moshe Dahan reports that when he arrived, he found a child about tw0o-years-old inside a locked vehicle. People around the vehicle stated “he was inside for about an hour”.

The child was extricated and intravenous therapy was initiated along with other measures to reduce his core temperature. The child was transported to the hospital reportedly suffering from heat stroke, listed in moderate condition, conscious and alert Baruch Hashem. B’chasdei Hashem it was an unseasonably cool day.
