KOL BONAICH
Admor’s Son Who Deals With Children Leaving The Path Sees The Good In WhatsApp
(Sunday, September 4th, 2016 08:30 PM)
Rabbi Osher Shapiro, the son of the Naroler (נראול) Rebbe Shlita, is a known figure in the Stamford Hill area of London. Rav Shapiro is a true educator, with over 17 years of experience in the field in the hope of bringing youths who left the derech back to the correct Torah path. He has established an organization called Kol Bonaich (‘קול בונייך’) towards meeting the challenges involved in working with these youths, an organization backed by Gedolei Yisrael Shlita.
In short, the rav feels that based on his vast experience, the all-inclusive bans on the internet have made it more appealing to many and he feels this has contributed to youths defying the ban and beginning the path to a different lifestyle. Rabbi Shapiro explains the matter of youths off the derech is not a new concept and not one unique to this generation, a problem that was in existence before the internet and WhatsApp.
In a recent interview with Kikar Shabbos News, Rabbi Shapiro explains that instead of investing resources in love and affection towards these youths, we are busying ourselves with bans and prohibitions, which are not going to save them.
Rabbi Shapiro admits there are some using unfiltered internet, and this is not acceptable, but the idea is not an all-inclusive ban but to rather educate the young as to how one properly uses the internet, which is an integral part of today’s world. The rav stresses that “since creation” there have always been dangers that have caused people to stumble and this is certainly not limited to this generation. The question remains is how we address these issues.
“This generation should be embraced and loved and that is what is missing. I mean anyone who uses the internet with supervision or filter can bring a great deal of good into the world and spread spirituality” Rabbi Shapiro told Kikar Shabbos. He cites a case that occurred a day earlier in which WhatsApp was used to unit a lost pair of tefilin and the owner, as the latter forgot them on a train.
“We mustn’t sweep the problem under the carpet” adds the rav, who credits the Belzer Rebbe Shlita with being the first to address these realities openly and offer solutions. He laments how money is spent in treating the problem instead of preventing it and instead of trying to save the lost youths, the money would be better spent in preventing them from leaving the derech and this is doable.
Rabbi Shapiro explains he can attest to the fact from personal experience that a great deal can be accomplished with warmth and love for that is what many of these youths are seeking but instead, they are ousted from school and their community.

TUVYA AND MOSHE
REB MOSHE FEINSTEIN ZY"A:
TEACHES THAT TORAH SCHOLARS SHOULD ALSO GIVE MAASAR FROM THEIR TIME.
THEY SHOULD DONATE ONE-TENTH OF THEIR LEARNING HOURS TO TEACHING TORAH TO PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT ABLE TO LEARN WELL ON THEIR OWN.
AFTER THE HOLOCAUST, A SURVIVOR, WHO DID NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN TORAH DURING THE WAR YEARS, CAME TO A YESHIVA IN LONDON TO STUDY TORAH. ( IT WAS SCHNIDERS ).
ALL THE STUDENTS WERE FAR MORE ADVANCED IN TORAH, HE RELATES THAT NO ONE HELPED HIM, OTHER THAN " TUVYA AND MOSHE "
HE WAS REFERRING TO THE TWO GEDOLEI YERUSHALAYIM OF TO DAY, REB TUVYA WEISS SHLITA AND REB MOSHE SHTERNBUCH SHLITA, THEY TITHED THEIR TIME TO HELP OTHERS LEARN TORAH.
THEIR DEVOTION DID NOT HOLD THEM FROM BECOMING EXCEPTIONAL TORAH SCHOLARS
THIS SITUATION TRAINS PEOPLE TO RECOGNIZE THAT EVERYTHING THAT WE HAVE COMES FROM HASHEM.

Report: The School That Fired The Chareidi Teacher Who Got A Drivers License Lied To The Ministry Of Education
(Thursday, September 1st, 2016 10:30 AM)
a Betar Illit mother and veteran teacher who was fired from her teaching post after getting a drivers license. It was explained the mother got the license after consulting with their rebbe, explaining it is to assist their 100% disabled daughter. The school however was not interested in her reason, promptly dismissing her from her job.
GABY LOCK SAYS :
WHEN THIS MOTHER TURNS HER CHILDREN AWAY FROM THE JEWISH RELIGION AND BECOMES NOT FRUM WE WONDER WHY. ?
WHEN THE MESSIAH DOES NOT COME IN OUR GENERATION WE WONDER WHY ?
WHEN YOUNG PEOPLE AND CHILDREN ARE ILL WE WONDER WHY ?
THE ANSWER IS WE A CRUEL TO EACH OTHER AND THERE IS NO LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR, WOULD YOU LIKE SOMEONE TO DO TO YOU WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO OTHERS.
Kikar Shabbos News reports the teacher, who was fired from Beis Yaakov-Reishis Chachma in Betar Illit left on her own, according to what the school told the Education Ministry. The school reportedly explained she decided to leave because of being too busy.
The school has been contacted by the officials from the Chareidi Unit of the ministry seeking an explanation. They contacted Binyamin Herschler, who holds the education portfolio in the Betar Council. Herschler was instructed by the ministry to probe the matter. He was told by the school the teacher was not fired, but left on her own.
The ministry has tried to speak with the teacher and family members, who to date have not cooperated, fearing retaliation. A relative however is quoted telling Kikar Shabbos that the teacher and her family are under enormous pressure not to cooperate with ministry inspectors. The relatives insist the teacher was fired and she did not leave on her own as those who know her know with absolute certainty. They add the woman however will never begin a public battle with the school.
Other teachers have apparently also been warned not to comment on the case publicly but one teacher spoke to Kikar, quoted anonymously confirming the teacher was fired and the case is most unfair as the teacher was treated harshly for simply trying to care for her child.
The Education Ministry Chareidi Unit advises it is continuing the probe. Councilman Herschler is not available for commen

THE CURSE OF OUR TIME
Child Found in Modi’in Illit Without Parents
(Wednesday, August 31st, 2016 01:30 PM)
The police dispatcher on Tuesday night 26 Menachem Av received a call from a bus driver after he found a girl on the bus as he checked the vehicle at the end of his route. Police arrived to and were somewhat surprised to see someone forgot the child on the bus.
This was the second case in a number of hours. Police announced this level of irresponsibility is not acceptable and criminal proceedings can be expected against the parents in this and similar cases.
GABY LOCK SAYS :
A GIRL OF 18 OR EVEN OLDER WE CAN ALLOW THEM TO GET MARRIED BUT HAVE CHILDREN THEY ARE NOT READY FOR THIS RESPONSIBILITY YET, I TALKED WITH A ROV, AND HE TOLD ME TO DAYS CHILDREN ARE NOT READY FOR CHILDREN TILL AT LEAST 23 OR OLDER.
I HAVE SEEN MOTHERS WITH FIVE CHILDREN GO OUT ON OUTINGS AND ARE TALKING AWAY ON THE PHONE, THEY CAN NOT PUT THE TELEPHONE DOWN FOR THE TWO OR THREE WEEKS OF THE HOLIDAY AND LOOK AFTER THE CHILDREN.
THEY ARE ADDICTS TO THE PHONE THE PHONE RULES THEM, I HOPE THEY KEEP SHABBOS.
THE MOBILE PHONE IS THE BIGGEST CURSE OF OUR TIME AND AS A ROV TOLD ME, NEARLY ALWAYS THE CAUSE OF A DIVORCE.
A YOUNG MARRIED COUPLE SHOULD TALK TO EACH OTHER AND NOT USE A PHONE WHEN THEY ARE TOGETHER

Big Kiddush Hashem As Sydney Hatzolah Helps Save Lives Of Multiple Drowning Victims On Beach
(Tuesday, August 30th, 2016 12:00 PM)
The following is via Daily Mail UK:
Seven Indonesian students have been hospitalised after they were rescued from ‘freak’ surf while swimming between the flags at Sydney’s most iconic beach.
The group were on a school excursion to Bondi Beach on Tuesday when two of the boys, both 16, disappeared under the water for a ‘period of time’ at 12.30pm.
Their classmates rushed into the water to try and save the pair but were also dragged out by the ‘freak’ surf.
Lifeguards paddled out and dragged the two boys who had been ‘submerged for a period of time’ to shore.
They performed CPR while concerned beach-goers watched on as and paramedics and local Ambulance Community Responders rushed to the scene.
One boy was transported to St Vincent’s Hospital in a condition, while the other was taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Paramedics also took five other students to Prince of Wales Children’s Hospital as a precaution.
A spokesperson from the Children’s Hospital was unable to give an update on the condition of the students for privacy reasons.

IT IS VERY NICE BUT NOT A KIDDUSH HASHEM HATZOLA WAS INTRODUCED BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF SERVICES FROM THE LOCAL AMBULANCE
PLEASE LEARN WHAT A KIDDUSH HASHEM IN THE TORAH IS, NOT WHEN GOYIM SAY THESE JEWS ARE FANTASTIC.
THAT IS JUST A FAILURE IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT THAT WE ALWAYS NEED RECOGNITION BY ANOTHER PERSON, TO FEEL VALUE
THAT IS THE CAUSE OF A MAJOR ILLNESS IN OUR SOCIETY CALLED DEPRESSION.
