Lieberman: “Chareidim Are To Blame For The High Cost Of Living”

Israel is experiencing a steep rise in the cost of living and Prime Minister Naftali Bennett promised on Sunday at the weekly Cabinet meeting that the government would take steps to address the issue in the coming days.

There are various reasons for the rise, including the worldwide rise in the cost of living due to supply chain delays caused by the COVID pandemic, leading many major Israeli companies to increase their prices in recent weeks. There’s also been a rise in electricity and gas prices recently, the cost of vegetables has risen due to the many recent stormy days in Israel, and there’s been a rise in the price of eggs and poultry due to the recent avian flu outbreak. Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, the cost of living in Israel is already extremely high. Israel is tied with Iceland in second place for the highest cost of living in the world, with only Switzerland rating higher.

After the Cabinet meeting, it was decided that the Finance Ministry will prepare a national plan for reducing the cost of living.

However, apparently, there is no need for Lieberman to prepare a plan because he already has all the answers. Of course, it’s the Chareidim who are to blame for the high cost of living!

Speaking at a Yisrael Beiteinu party meeting on Monday afternoon, Leiberman said: “Regarding the cost of living, strangely everyone ignores one of the factors. Over 50% of the Chareidi sector isn’t part of the labor force and this is one of the main reasons for the high cost of living.”

UTJ MK Yaakov Litzman stated in response: “Lieberman’s severe words of incitement while blaming the Chareidi public for the high cost of living and the poverty he decrees on Am Yisrael deserves condemnation.”

“This is anti-Semitic slander, reminiscent of dark times, in which the Jews were blamed for all the evils and troubles of humanity. It’s a busha and disgrace to the government that a person who denigrates an entire sector holds a responsible position as a finance minister.”

UTJ chairman Moshe Gafni said: “The harsh statements about the cost of living made by Lieberman during a party meeting are not even worthy of a response. His words should be sent in a wheelbarrow to the garbage dump.

A non-Jew who works for the Reb Shayale Hachnasas Orchim guest house in Krestiner, Hungary posted a video about the yeshuah he experienced after he davened by Reb Shayele’s kever.

In the video obtained by B’Chadrei Chareidim, Christian, who is a non-Jew, relates in perfect Yiddish: “My wife was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and the doctors said she needed surgery.”

“I went to work by HaRav Friedlander in the Hachnasas Orchim and I told him I won’t be coming to work the next day because I had to go with my wife to the hospital.”

“He asked me what happened and I told him that my wife has cancer and needs surgery. He told me to go to the kever and pray. I told him: ‘But I’m not Jewish,’ but he told me that it doesn’t matter, Reb Shayele helps everyone.”

“I went to the kever. I wrote a kvittel, I lit candles and I prayed and I asked for a full recovery for my wife.”

“The next day, my wife went back to the hospital to be tested prior to the surgery. The doctor said: ‘I can’t understand what I’m seeing here. The tumor is shrinking.’ He delayed the surgery and we went home. We went back a while later and the cancer had disappeared.”

Christian added: “Six months ago, we had a baby and I named him Natan as thanks to Hashem Who gave me a child. Baruch Hashem, he’s healthy, everyone’s healthy in the zechus of Reb Shayele ben Reb Moshe.”

 Police Brutally Arrest Chareidi Man In Bnei Brak For Not Wearing Mask

Police brutally injured a Chareidi man in his 50s on Monday morning in the course of arresting him for not wearing a mask as he was shopping in a supermarket in Bnei Brak.

According to a witness, police suddenly entered the store and upon seeing the man without a mask, demanded that he present them with a teudat zehut.

An argument ensued between the man and the police, which ended with the police handcuffing him, during which they injured him. Hatzalah volunteers evacuated him to Sheba Hospital with facial injuries.

“He told the police: ‘I don’t have money to pay the fine,'” a witness told B’Chadrei Chareidim. The police claim that the man tried to leave the store without completing the identity process.

“He’s an avreich who wouldn’t hurt a fly,” the man’s father said. “He’s a very gentle person. I don’t know how they did something like this to him.”

In past weeks, Bnei Brak residents have been complaining about selective enforcement in the city regarding mask-wearing.

   Although I was raised with the belief (opinion) that these people are Tinokos Sh’nishbu, I think it is cowardice of an Israeli politician not to don a Yarlmuka for a Kaddish for the Kedoshim. Handed the Nazis a small victory.
