Peleg Yerushalmi Kabolas Shabbos Tefilos Turn into an Attack Against Prominent Modi’in Illit Rov
Thousands of avreichim and talmidei yeshivos affiliated with the Peleg Yerushalmi faction held tefilos on a city street Friday night, tefilos that turned into a showing of support for the Sephardi talmid yeshiva who was arrested last week by the military police for failing to report to an induction center, and is now serving his sentence in a military prison.
In Bnei Brak, supporters of the Peleg davened at the intersection of Rabbi Akiva and Hashomer Streets and in Kiryat Sefer they davened on Chafetz Chayim Street near the Heichal Yitzchak Shul.
In an ad published in the newspaper on erev Shabbos, the public was called by the “Committee to Save the World of Torah” to gather on the erev Shabbos for be “MeKadesh Shem Shomayim and Kabolas Shabbos Kodesh on the streets of a city.”
