YOM TEFILLAH IN LONDON

More Than 7,000 Gather At Massive Yom Tefillah In Stamford Hill About Troubling Education Reforms [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

Approximately 7,000 Chareidi Jews gathered in Stamford Hill on Tuesday afternoon, to participate in a Yom Tefillah about the harsh threats against Chinuch in yeshivos. The massive event was held outside Bais Hamedrash Toras Eitz Chaim on Lordship Road.
Over the past three years Yeshios have come under increasing pressure from Ofsted inspectors, and rabbonim fear that proposed laws will regulate what is being taught in Yeshivas, forcing them to Chas Vesholom close.
A number of Rabbonim and leading community activists have previously questioned whether the Orthodox community has a future in the UK if education policy is not changed.
Three months ago, HaRav Shraga Feivel Zimmerman from Gateshead passed along a similar message, stating that the situation is serious and that the Jews may have to leave en masse.
Rabbi Aharon Klein, one of the heads of the Belzer community in London, recently warned that should the decisions regarding the education in Charedi schools in England go against the ethos taught by the community, then there would be no future for the Charedi community in England whatsoever.
The new rules set down by the Education Ministry, which helps fund the schools, is to teach about the Toeiva lifestyle among other subjects.
While speakers at today’s event voiced concerns about Ofsted, they also expressed hope for dialogue with the government.
According to a report by the Jewish Chronicle, Rabbi Dovid Frand, president of the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations, said, “The exemplary behaviour of these thousands of children throughout this event is tribute to the excellent education and high moral standards that our system delivers.”
He said the community thanked God “we are privileged to live in a tolerant country with a government that has repeated pledged to safeguard religion and religious practice.
“However, there are influential secular forces seeking to impinge on our rights and we have all gathered together in prayer in the fervent hope that we can continue to practice and teach our Torah-true values for generations to come.”

Does anyone in his right mind believe London has a future for Hasidic Jews when a house which is 18 ft. wide and 45 ft long goes for 1.5 million british pounds and rents go for 600 pounds a week?
how long can a yid give away his hard earning money to those greedy sellers?
its time to leave stamford hill and move on like they are doing now in boro park and willamsburgh…

So sad that all these people had to cram in the courtyard of Eitz Chaim Shul because R’Halbershtam and his cronies wont go to Yesoida Hatorah school for political reasons, snd then they want Hashem to help them.
Perhaps they should first learn to stop fighting with nearly everyone and they woild see a yeshuah

Unless I missed it, I’m not sure what these government reforms or requirements are for the schools? Is it forced to learn about Islam, Sex Ed, Greek Mythology? Until I know, I am standing with the UK Government.

This has nothing to do with London or Stamford Hill or affordable housing. It has to do with the future of frum Yiddishe chinuch anywhere in England or U.K or Britian or whatever else they call it.

i do not understand you. If you dont understand the issue here why do you side with the government rather with Thousand of jews and Rabunim,Roshei Yeshivas,Dyunim,Melamdem,Minhalim of the greater London communities?
Isnt this proof enough that something terrible is happening in UK to the frum yidden and you have a nerve to stand with the UK government?

Stop taking money from the Government. Charge tuition & keep your Yeshivos totally private. Stop all the excuses!
Who are you all davening too? Stop davening & do something for your communities.
Wake up, everyone! We are starting to see these same issues here in the USA. We now have the Common Core Program which is hurting so many good kids. The Government is stuffing garbage through this horrible Common Core C. System. Parents, wake up!!! The Governments are polluting our children’s neshamos & its gonna get worse.
Schools: Stop taking so much money from the Government or wherever you take it from. No excuses that parents don’t pay tuition & that you have no choice. Stop running our schools like the public school’s system. Stop running our schools like a business. Stop relying on our Government for everything 7 maybe we wont have so many of our children off the derech like never before. R”L.

Most Jewish schools are guilty of mistreating parents, allowing bulling, employing untrained teachers, who are related to one another.
Some schools around the world have allowed abuse to go on and turned a blind eye
Retzach be dam kar the way they go about throwing their weight about at parents and children’s expense
My experience has cost me dearly and 50 years on I see the same with my kids
They will have so much to answer in shomayim
I wonder if they ever think about changing their modus operandi before a day of tefilla?
