It appears the ongoing incitement against religion and chareidim has influenced some. A traditional Israeli, Gad Kaufman, was traveling on a business trip and simply wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to put on Tefilin, after being asked by a Chabad shaliach in the airport if he would to.
The self-hating Jewish woman is seen loudly mocking and insulting the two men. She demanded that they “move because you are bothering me….and “why are you doing this here, there are people here, this is a public place.”At that moment, both he and the Chabad shaliach were harassed by a woman who did not exactly see eye-to-eye with one putting on Tefilin.
The following was written by Gad Kaufman on his Facebook page, “An amazing incident occurred this morning in the Airport, when I was asked politely by a Chabad man, if I wanted to put on tefillin. I replied in the affirmative, and then a woman jumped up with a crazy look and began to curse, harass and disturb!
“It is really shameful that being a Jew in this country is being persecuted by the leftist bohemian. If I were a Muslim or a Christian, would this behavior be more legitimate,” Kaufman asked rhetorically.

HE CAME HOME AND THE FIRST THING HE TOLD HIS WIFE WAS THAT, SOME ONE TOLD HIM HE WAS AT ANOTHER TENOIM, AND IT WAS NOTING LIKE OURS.
DO YOU THINK THIS IS WHAT HASHEM WANTS, ? ? IS THIS WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT.? ?

THE GER TZEDEK OF VILNA
Jewish traditions[edit]
There are several versions of this story, especially among the Jews of Lithuania, Poland, and Russia, who know and still refer to Potocki as the Ger Tzedek ("righteous proselyte") of Vilna (Vilnius). Virtually all Jewish sources agree that he was a Polish nobleman who converted to Judaism and was burned at the stake by the Roman Catholic Church at Vilnius on May 23, 1749 (7 Sivan 5509, corresponding to the second day of the Jewish holiday of Shavuot in the Diaspora), because he had renounced Catholicism and had become an observant Jew.[5]
Multiple oral histories, backed up by several 19th-century and later printed versions of the story, from many Jewish communities over the past 250 years, serve as evidence of Potocki's story. Jewish oral traditions teach many more details of Avraham ben Avraham's life and death.
There is also one contemporary written account from 1755, by Rabbi Yaakov Emden. ויקם עדות ביעקב דף כה, ב (Vayakam Edus b'Yaakov, 1755, p. 25b). A rough translation:

In his lecture on the topic,[8] Prof. Sid Leiman quotes an author from a century ago who related the same reason - heard from a member of the Pototzki family.
The traditional story[edit]
Polish author Józef Ignacy Kraszewski, who is acknowledged as one of the oldest verified sources citing this story, relates that young Potocki and his friend Zaremba, who traveled from Poland to study in a seminary in Paris, became interested in an old Jew whom they found poring over a large volume when they entered his wine shop. This Jew might have been their own countryman, Menahem Man ben Aryeh Löb of Visun, who was tortured and executed in Vilna at the age of seventy (July 3, 1749). Tradition has brought this Jewish martyr into close connection with the Ger Tzedek, but fear of the censor has prevented writers in Russia from saying anything explicit on the subject. His teachings and explanations of the Old Testament, to which they, as Roman Catholics, were total strangers, so impressed them that they prevailed upon him to instruct them in the Hebrew language. In six months they acquired proficiency in the Biblical language and a strong inclination toward Judaism. They resolved to go to Amsterdam, which was one of the few places in Europe at that time where a Christian could openly embrace Judaism. But Potocki first went to Rome, whence, after convincing himself that he could no longer remain a Catholic, he went to Amsterdam and took upon himself the covenant of Abraham, assuming the name of Avraham ben Avraham ("Abraham the son of Abraham"; "the son of Abraham" is the traditional styling of a convert to Judaism, as Abraham was the first who converted to Judaism from polytheism).
Potocki's parents got word of his leave from the seminary in Paris and the rumors that he had converted to Judaism, and began searching for him. Potocki then fled from France and hid in a synagogue in Vilna, wearing a long beard and peyot like the Perushim (devout Jews who separated themselves from the community to learn and pray). When the Vilna Gaon heard of his whereabouts, he advised him to hide instead in the small town of Ilye (Vilna Governorate). There a Jewish tailor who sewed uniforms for Polish bureaucrats overheard some clients talking about the fugitive divinity student and suspected that the stranger in the synagogue might be he. Later this tailor's son, who liked to disturb the men studying in the synagogue, was sharply rebuked by Potocki; some say Potocki grabbed the boy by the ear and pulled him out the door. The tailor reported him to the Bishop of Vilna, and Potocki was arrested.[1]
Potocki's parents visited him in prison and begged him to renounce his Judaism publicly, promising to build him a castle where he could practice the religion privately. According to Rabbi Ben-Zion Alfes, the Maggid of Vilna, Potocki refused his mother, saying, "I love you dearly, but I love the truth even more".[1]
After a long imprisonment and a trial for heresy, Potocki was condemned to death by being burned alive at the stake. After the decree was handed down, the Vilna Gaon sent Potocki a message offering to rescue him using Kabbalah. Potocki refused, preferring instead to die al kiddush Hashem and inquired of the Vilna Gaon which blessing he should make immediately before his death. The Vilna Gaon answered, "...m'kadesh es Shimcha be'rabbim" (Who sanctifies His Name in public) and sent an emissary to hear and answer "Amen".[citation needed] His mother used all her influence to procure a pardon for him, but the execution was moved up one day so that she would not be able to deliver it in time.[1]
Potocki was executed in Vilna on the second day of the Jewish holiday of Shavuot. It was unsafe for any Jew to witness the burning; nevertheless one Jew, Leiser Zhiskes, who had no beard, went among the crowd and succeeded by bribery in securing some of the ashes of the martyr, which were later buried in the Jewish cemetery.[1][9] Potocki walked proudly to the execution site, singing a song that was later sung in the Volozhin yeshiva and that was also sung by Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer after Yom Kippur.[1] Some sources say that Rabbi Alexander Ziskind, author of Yesod VeShoresh HaAvodah, stood near Potocki and said "Amen" to the blessing he said before he died.[1]
Following Potocki's execution, the town that had furnished the firewood for the execution burned down. There were also an unusual number of fires in Vilna, and a building that stood opposite the execution site bore a black stain from the "smoke and fumes of the burning". No amount of paint or whitewashing would remove the stain, and finally the building was taken down.[1] The authorities would not allow a monument to be erected over Potocki's ashes, but a "strange tree" grew at the site. Those who tried to cut down the tree were mysteriously injured in the process.[1] Around 1919 a tomb was erected over the ashes and Jews came to pray there. Following the destruction of the old cemetery of Vilna by the Nazis during World War II, a new cemetery was built and the Vilna Gaon was interred in a new ohel. Potocki's ashes were reinterred alongside the Vilna Gaon's grave,[1] and an inscribed stone memorial to him was mounted on the wall of the ohel.[2]
Potocki's comrade Zaremba returned to Poland several years before him, married the daughter of a great nobleman, and had a son. He remained true to the promise to embrace Judaism and took his wife and child to Amsterdam, where, after he and his son had been circumcised, his wife also converted to Judaism; they then went to the Land of Israel.
According to Jewish tradition, following Avraham ben Avraham's death, the Vilna Gaon believed that the spiritual constitution of the world had become altered in such a way that a Jew was no longer bound to wash his hands in the morning (netilat yadayim) within four amot (cubits) of his bed, as explicitly taught in the codes of Jewish law such as the Shulchan Aruch and other halachic works. Rather, a Jew's entire house would be considered as four amot for this mitzvah. This custom, begun at Avraham ben Avraham's death, commenced with the Vilna Gaon and later became the practice of the Slabodka yeshiva in Europe, becoming today the routine of many leading Israeli rabbis who follow the Slabodka tradition.[10]

Neturei Karta Members Meet Erdogan In London Just After Calling Israel A “Terrorist & Apartheid State”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received members of Neturei Karta in a closed-to-press meeting in London on Tuesday – just after calling Israel a “terror state”.
The Orthodox Jewish group led by Elchonon Beck held a meeting with Erdoğan, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik and Deputy Secretary General and Spokesperson of the Presidency Ibrahim Kalın in the Intercontinental Hotel that lasted for about half an hour, sources said.
“Helping the Zionists is not in the interests of the Jewish people. If you want to help the Jews, come out and say loudly that you are against the state of Israel. We are against the occupiers. We want to bring peace to the area. As Jews, we pray for the complete dissolution of the Israeli state in a peaceful manner. We do not want two states either. We support the return of the Palestinian people. There Jews and Muslims can live together in peace.”Beck stated that Israel is the most dangerous country for Jewish people in the world today. He told Erdogan:
“We can live in peace and harmony all over the world in Palestine, as it was many years ago with Muslims.”
Tensions between Turkey and Israel continue to rise following the Hamas border attacks and Israel’s attempts to defend her borders on Monday. The Turkish consul in Jerusalem, Husno Gorkan Turkwollo, was invited to appear in front of a tribunal in the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday afternoon. Trukwollo was asked to return to Turkey in order to consult with his superiors. The move was made after Israel’s Ambassador to Turkey was returned from Ankara.

If you want a lesson with regards to the importance humanity and morality, he should read the Ten Commandments.”

Chareidi MKs Express Concern Over Continued Chilul Shabbos
The Knesset Economics Committee met on Monday, 29 Iyar, to address ongoing work on the express train from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv on Shabbosos. Committee Chair MK (Machane Tzioni) Eitan Cable expressed harsh criticism over the management of the project, as well as against Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz, citing the project does not adhere to schedules but suffers from chronic delays. He feels this is a nationwide issue, that projects do not adhere to schedules and deadlines.
MK (Yahadut Hatorah) Uri Maklev explained the major issues surround the railway’s lack of compliance with security and safety issues as set forth by police and fire officials regarding the early stages of the project. Now he laments, they are trying to make all the corrections at the expense of Shabbos R”L. Maklev calls on officials to address the issues, but not on Shabbos, explaining there have been so many delays, the project can and must be completed, but not by trampling on Shabbos. He spoke of the insult to Shabbos, and the fact that if all delays in the nation were due to not working on Shabbos, “the nation would tremble”. However, he pointed out this is not the case and there is no justification for the chilul Shabbos taking place today.
CEO of the project, Shachar Ayalon, explains the increase in riders in Israel is 8-10% annually, as compared to 2% in Europe. He adds, “That which was completed in Israel in 8-10 years, would take 40-50 years in Europe.MK (Kulanu) Rachel Azariya questioned the ongoing delays and the fact, in all likelihood, in a few months new reasons for delays will be announced. She blames a lack of planning for the chronic delays which prevent the completion.

"I'm Breaking Off the Engagement"

The Rachmastrivka Rebbe is the latest of the gedolim to add his name to the monthly Kupat Ha’Ir orphan campaigns. This month’s campaign page includes a stirring letter which, while brief, speaks volumes:
“Hi, I’m Tehila.* This time last year, it seemed like everything was going right. I was engaged to be married, and I was so excited to be a kallah and to start a home & family. However everything changed when my parents both tragically passed away not long after my engagement. I got a call from my chassan.
“I can’t marry you. I can’t marry a girl who doesn’t have any parents to help support us. This is too much for me. I’m sorry. Goodbye.”
That night was Lag BaOmer and I went out to see the bonfires. I looked into the flames as my world burned down. And I cried.
Unfortunately it’s the case for many people who lose their parents. In the year that followed, nobody wanted to marry me. I was too poor. I have worked hard at my job since then and get by on very little.
A month ago, I finally became engaged to a boy who wants to marry me for who I am, and not just how much money I have. He also doesn’t have parents. I am so overjoyed to have my chance to start again. We are signed up to Kupat Ha’Ir’s orphan wedding program, together with 21 other orphans who will be getting married before Shavuos. If the campaign is successful, we will be able to get enough to help us to cover the basics … Things like food for the wedding, furniture for our house…
I know that we and the other orphans are praying that this campaign will do well. That’s why I wanted to share my story. Please help if you can. Thank you. Tehila.”
This is just one story, but each of the 22 orphans being married off before Shavuos has their own unique journey of loss, grief, and struggle. That is why the Rachmastrivka Rebbe, and in previous months such gedolim as Rav Gershon Edelstein and Rav Chaim Kanievsky, has taken personal responsibility for the campaign.
Those who donate will receive the Rebbe’s bracha for shefa, bracha, hatzlocha, and nachas from their children. The Rebbe will also be praying personally for a limited group of donors. It is a particularly powerful bracha to receive nachas from your children for this act of generosity, as the children involved in the campaign are counting on donors to do what their loving parents would have done if they were still in this world.
