VISITING THE TOMB

Tehrani Jews To Visit Tomb of Esther HaMalka
Many are surprised to learn that the tombs of Mordechai & Esther are maintained to this day in Iran. Despite being a Muslim country, they are still regarded as important figures in Persian history.

For the past six years on Taanit Esther, pilgrims from the frum Tehrani community have been enduring the arduous 6-hour journey to the kvarim. The interior is beautiful, with murals and tapestries adorning the resting places of two of the greatest leaders of Jewish history. The Tehrani pilgrims pray for those who donate to Vaad HaRabbonim’s yearly matanos l’evyonim campaign

It is undoubtedly a perilous trip, as religious Jews travelling in a Sharia state to pray at a public Jewish site. However, the emissaries, and the gedolim who sent them, are confident that the important cause for their mission is enough to protect them. The survival of the tombs themselves is testament to the Divine protection at play.

The money will be distributed to poor families on the day of Purim, in the form of checks.

The campaign itself has a respected and illustrious history. Gedolim including Rav Shteinman zt”l, Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlit”a, Rav Vozner zt”l, and the Belzer Rebbe have given matanos l’evyonim via Vaad HaRabbonim for many years. In fact, Rav Shteinman zt”l is quoted as having said that “After [he is] 120, when [he] will stand before Beis Din Shel Maalah, they will ask [him] what [he] did for the poor, the widows and the orphans.” His answer? “I will answer that I was a partner with Vaad HaRabbonim.”

Rav Steinman also reportedly said that “when there is a gezeira on a Yid, Hashem brings before him the wondrous tzedaka of Vaad Harabbanim, which is not just one poor person but many poor people, so he will give them tzedaka and be rescued.”

Those who wish to add their names to the prayer lists at the tombs of Mordechai & Esther, and who wish to handle the mitzvah of matanos l’evyonim, can donate here.

WE CAN PRAY AND GIVE TZEDAKA AT THE TOMBS AND THE PERSON STILL DIES AS G-D DOES HIS WILL.

THESE THINGS CAN BRING A GREAT LOSS OF EMUNAH B'SHEM.

IN G-D WE TRUST IS ONLY WRITTEN ON U.S.A. DOLLAR, AS THAT IS THE WHOLE BELIVE IN THE U.S.A.

THIS IS A MISTAKE FROM THE YESHIVA WORLD AND THE JEWS IN THE U.S.A.

PURIM IS TO TEACH US EMUNA IN HASHEM

There’s Something Crucial You Forgot to Do Before Purim

One of the most important mitzvos of Purim can sometimes be shrouded in mystery. Those who ask gedolim for guidance as to where to give have gotten a clear answer:
“It is my custom now for several years to give Matanos L’evyonim to Kupat Hair immediately after Megillah reading, and through this I have fulfilled my requirement (of Tzedaka for Purim day)”
– Rav Chaim Kanievsky
Don’t forget to join the gedolim this Purim in Kupat Ha’Ir’s historic matanos l’evyonim campaign. At Rav Chaim Kanievsky himself’s request, 4,000 poverty-stricken families in Eretz Yisroel have been selected as being in especially dire need.
Rav Kanievsky will also daven for all those who donate, and gave a bracha to donors: That they should have a home blessed by Hashem, have healthiness and a long life, be spared from troubles, and see yeshuos.
4,000 poor families in Israel need help now. Now is the time to send Rav Chaim as your
shaliach.

IT MAKES ME SICK THE WAY THE YESHIVA WORLD NEWS TRANSLATES EVERYTHING IN TO MONEY. RAV CHAIM KANIEVSKY CAN PRAY THAT HASHEM WILL HELP YOU BUT HE CAN NOT PROMISE.

PURIM IS READING THE MEGILLAH

AND SEEING GOD'S HAND HELP IN

 NORMALITIES OF LIFE, THAT THE

 JEWISH PEOPLE GET OUT OF

 TROUBLE.

WE HAVE TO LEARN FROM THE

MEGILLAH EMUNAH IN HASHEM.

THIS NEEDS TO BE EXPLAINED

I UNDERSTAND THAT WE HAVE TO GIVE RESPECT TO RABBIS AND RABBONIM AS G-D GIVES THEM SPIRITUAL  HELP TO SERVE AND RUN THE COMMUNITY IF THEY GET TO THAT POSITION IN LIFE.

BUT WE HAVE GONE MAD AS WE THINK THAT THE CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN OF THESE RABBIS OR RABBONIM HAVE SOME SPIRITUAL ELEVATION, AS THEY ARE THE CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN OF RABBONIM OR RABBIS.

JEWISH MESSAGE

Brother of Parkland Victim Wears Kippah in Oval Office; Sends Message to Jewish Youth

Meadow Pollack's family meeting with President Donald Trump, left, at the White House. Her brother, Hunter, says he wore a kippah to send a message that his peers should "be proud to be Jewish." On Wednesday morning – a week after Meadow Pollack, 18, was killed in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. – her father, Andrew Pollack, and brothers, Huck and Hunter, flew to Washington, D.C., for a roundtable discussion with President Donald Trump at the White House. The televised meeting was widely seen, with Andrew’s dramatic and forceful words about fixing school security striking a chord around the country, being extensively reported and shared on social media.

“I wore it there because I’m proud to be Jewish,” Hunter Pollack told Chabad.org. “I wanted to wear my kippah in the highest office of the land. My Jewish peers in this country need to be proud of being Jewish, and that’s how we can honor Meadow’s memory as a beautiful Jewish girl.”Prior to the public meeting, Andrew, Huck and Hunter had a private conversation with the president in the Oval Office. Entering the meeting, Hunter chose to wear a kippah, a mark of Jewish pride clearly seen in the official White House photos.
Since last week’s tragedy, which left Meadow and 16 others dead, Rabbi Avraham Friedman of Chabad of Coral Springs, a longtime family friend and mentor, has been a constant presence in the Pollack home, offering comfort and support. He has also been putting on tefillin and praying with family members, in addition to those making shiva calls, and teaching the traditional mourners’ Mishnayot each night.
“I thought of Rabbi Friedman as I walked into the Oval Office with my kippah,” says Hunter. “The tefillin, the learning, the Jewish stuff has been very comforting to me and my family.”

EXTREMISTS NOT GOOD FOR YIDDISHKEIT

WATCH: Charedi Extremists Burn Wigs in ‘Religious’ Ceremony Symbolizing Purim

(VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)
A trend and campaign has sprung up amid the extremist Charedi community against women wearing wigs of the hair of non-Jewish women. One of the most recent protest events against this type of hair covering, took place in Charedi neighborhoods in Jerusalem on Thursday night.

Charedi extremist elements who were behind the event claim that these wigs violate the laws of Tzniyus. On a very large stage set up on the street, ten wigs with Styrofoam heads, were burned to accompanying simcha music and dancing. The event, which coincided with Rosh Chodesh Adar, held an extra element of defamation for the wigs, as the heads were hung from a beam and each was attributed the name of one of Haman’s ten sons to symbolize the vile characteristics of the wigs.

  • The self-proclaimed Rabbi who was holding the pole to which the heads were hung, recited in a loud voice the passages of “L’Shem Yichud…” and then stepped forward to perform the “Mitzvah” of burning the wigs amid jubilation of the crowd.
He then encourages the crowd to “daven now for this is an ‘Eis Ratzon’, as an American yeshiva student can be heard yelling “Allah Akbar” as he mocks the entire event.

THIS WAS NOT THE PURPOSE OF AGUDAS YISROEL

PHOTOS: Agudath Israel Of America National Leadership Mission 2018, To Washington, Day Two

From an early morning shacharis in Virginia, to the Capitol, to a White House briefing and then back to the Senate Russell Office building, the second day of Agudath Israel of America’s leadership mission to Washington D.C. was packed with opportunities for participants to discuss the Agudah’s 2018 federal agenda with influential elected officials and politicians.
The first session of the day, chaired by the Agudah’s national director for state relations, Rabbi A.D. Motzen, began at 9 AM at the U.S. Capitol House Visitor Center and addressed crucial issues including Israeli security, a high priority agenda item that has been enjoying bipartisan support, concerns about Iran, BDS, anti-Semitism, school choice and religious liberties. The mission was addressed by Representative Ted Budd (R-NC), Representative Adriano Espaillat (D-NY), Representative John Faso (R-NY), Representative Steve King (R-IA), Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL), Representative Mark Meadows (R-NC), Representative James Raskin (D-MD), Representative Chris Smith (R-NJ), and Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL). Numerous speakers stressed the importance of faith as a unifier and heralded the Agudah as a leader in the movement to provide funding solutions for those who choose to send their children to non-public schools.

The final event on the mission’s schedule was a luncheon chaired by Agudah executive vice president Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zwiebel at the Senate’s Russell Office Building. The Agudah group was joined by a prominent assemblage of elected officials which included Senator John Boozman (R-AR), Senator Benjamin Cardin (D-MD), Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Senator Orrin Hatch, Senate president pro tempore (R-UT), Senator Charles Schumer Senate minority leader (D-NY), Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA), and Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR). One of the highlights of the session was a special tribute to Senator Hatch who has worked closely with the Agudah over the years and was instrumental in Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin’s release from prison this past December. Senator Hatch, who will be retiring after 42 years of service, received a standing ovation from the delegation and was gifted with an inscribed leather Tehillim in an emotional presentation. The next stop for the Agudah delegation was the Indian Treaty Room at the majestic Eisenhower Executive Office Building located next to the West Wing of the White House for a briefing. Jason Greenblatt, assistant to the president and special representative for international negotiations, was greeted with a standing ovation and offered insights into some of the Trump administration’s policies. Also addressing the group were Marcus Coleman, acting director of the Department of Homeland Security Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, Jennifer Korn, special assistant to the president and deputy director of the Office of Public Liaison, Thomas Rose, assistant to the vice president and senior advisor and chief strategist, and Paul Teller, special assistant to the president for legislative affairs, discussing grants, immigration and lauding the Agudah for its far reaching advocacy efforts.
Organizers declared the mission an unqualified success, noting that participants, who hailed from California, Illinois, Florida, Maryland, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Colorado, Tennessee, Texas and Michigan, were inspired by their trip to Washington and seeing how the Agudah is held in high regard in the political world.
“The value of these types of missions has been proven over the years,” observed Rabbi Zwiebel. “Those in Washington see that we have a national constituency and that we represent a community that stretches from coast to coast. Our missions leave elected officials we meet with, and others, the knowledge that we are a constituency of substance and of numbers.”
